Mary’s was originally started by Mary K. Norris as All Equine Products which specialized primarily in the English side of the equestrian market. The business grew to the point where expansion of the product line was needed to serve the Athens, Georgia trade area.
To meet the needs of the community, Mary and her husband Wayne formed Mary’s Tack Feed & Pet, purchased property and built a 12,000 square foot facility to house the new store. The new store is a tack, feed, pet, wild bird, gift, and clothing facility serving the greater Athens, Georgia area. This is a ten county shopping area consisting of Athens-ClarkeCounty and the surrounding counties.
Mary and Wayne have an extensive background in horses and farm related activities. They and their staff have extensive experience in the horse industry, from breeding and training to boarding and showing in several equine disciplines.
A wealth of knowledge is at your disposal in the Pet Department to help you with selecting the right feed for your pet, based on the special needs of your pet. We recognize that our pets are a very important part of our lives and treat them as a member of the family. We have life stages feeds from the most respected names in the industry.
Pet food lines include Purina Mills Exclusive, Purina Pro-plan, Nutro, Bil-Jac, Eukanuba, Eagle Pac, Blackwood Natural & Natural Balance. Pet related products include Four Paws, Nutri-Dent, Nylabone, Front Line & other well known name brands for pet health care needs.
Mary’s offers a full line of feed products by Purina and Nutrena. Both of these well respected feed lines offer products for horses, dogs, cats, wild bird, cattle, sheep, goats, poultry, & other farm livestock plus many small animal feeds, health care products and nutritional supplements.
Mary’s Tack, Feed & Pet isn’t just any old feed store, though. It’s a beautiful, spacious, well lighted 8,000 square foot retail store featuring clothing lines like Wrangler, Cinch, Carhartt, and Outback Trading Co., with Ariat, Justin, and Georgia Boot for men and women. We also offer Ariat, JPC Equestrian, Irideon, Kerrits, Cruel Girl, Rocky, Tailored Sportsman, Cavallo, R.J. Classics, Horsewares, Essex, E.Q. Rider, and selected fashion clothing for women and children.
Mary’s also has the most extensive tack and saddle inventory in Northeast Georgia, featuring both English and Western disciplines.
Another feature Mary’s added is a convenient, covered drive-thru pick up area for feed, shavings, and hay or any other heavy products you purchase.
